Level Design: Movers

C. Moving/Intersecting/Placing the RealDoor(tm)

After adding in the brush to play as your mover template, move it into a nice open area. For this you may need to make an empty room and transplant the brush.

The door after being moved

Move your brush somewhere that it doesnt touch anything else for conveiniant intersection

Next you need to make a cube brush that totally surrounds the mover brush. This seems easy, however, there is a catch. You can't use the scale tool or you'll mess up the mover and it won't be solid (bad in our case, unless you wish to be barbeque). To solve this problem, manually resize the scaling of the cube tool, but be SURE you reset the brush scaling BEFORE you do this.

Making the surrounding builder

Surround it with the red brush so you can intersect it

Next, Intersect the builder brush with the mover (be sure your builder only encompases the mover and nothing else). Move this new red brush to where the mover will start. Hit the little cube button that has all the little swirly things around it

Mover

You'll get a little purple brush. This is the actual mover.

Once its in the starting location, right click on a purple line in a 2d window. Select Mover Keyframe and then Keyframe 1.  Next, move the purple mover to the final location. This time, click Keyframe 0 (Base). The mover will return to its original location (normal).

Setting keyframe

Keyframe madness

Now all we have to do is set up the mover.
