This might not
need any explaining to most people, however I myself often asked myself "Brush, what
the hell is a brush? I don't see any painting tools, I see polygons. Why are they calling
it a brush?" and other such jibberish when seeing anything on 3D editing. While I've
still not seen a definition for the term, I have pretty much come to understand that a
brush is simply a 3D object constructed from polygons. So thats what a brush is. Not
rocket science, but personally I was wondering about that one for a long time...
Whenever I'm talking about a brush, I mean an object in 3D geometry.

I'm NOT talking about a mesh however, which is a
more detailed 3D object that is used for details. Monsters, trees, and other such things,
which are CLASSES in UnrealED, are MESHES. Geometry of your actual level is made from
BRUSHES.

Now on to the most important concept to
understand in UnrealED, Adding and Subtracting. Not like 2+2, but adding and subtracting
brushes from the world - The UnrealED Concept. |
